We highly recommend taking the below steps to ensure you protect yourself and secure your personal data, not only on our platform but also on other online accounts you have:

  1. Keep passwords long and random: Best practice strongly recommends that passwords should have a minimum of eight characters (the longer the better), and a mixture of alphanumeric and special characters. Avoid using dictionary words (ex: "tree"), common security words (ex: "Password"), and words that are associated with you such as your street name, town, or relative names that could be researched via internet searches.
  2. Use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as an added layer of security: We recommend enabling MFA on every online account you have. At Allocate, we will be providing MFA via Twilio.
  3. Use an ad-blocker: Ad-blocker extensions like uBlock, AdBlock Plus, or AdGuard maintain lists that block ads that are known to be malicious. Allocate does not endorse any of these products.
